that I can think of. Unless you've never seen TW or Who.

Ok, I know I said a week, and it's been longer than that. For that I'm sorry! Damn RL! But here is the next installment in my wee saga! Hope you enjoy!

A loud knock on the door pulled him back from his memories.

“Ianto, are you nearly ready?” Lucca popped his head round the door and tsked impatiently. “Do you not want to go out?”

“Humm?”

Ianto looked over at him, reluctantly pulling his mind away from warm summer fields and an enigmatic stranger with an intriguing smile, who was now leaning against the wall of his room, arms folded and looking at him with raised eyebrows.

“I said ‘are you ready yet?’ and you’ve not even started have you?” Lucca sighed “Ianto, I know it’s only a few days since …..” He walked over to Ianto and pulled him close. “Look, do you really want to go out? I thought it might do you good. You’ve been cooped in that damn bunker for months and you need to remember that there is life outside of Torchwood! A few drinks, a bit of dancing, and I’ll take you home whenever you want. Or I could take you home now, or we could stay in with Cat. Your choice.”

Ianto rested his head on Lucca’s chest and breathed deeply, the familiar pheromones settling him.

“You’re not getting me drunk on these so you can drag me out regardless?” he asked dryly. Lucca chuckled and Ianto continued. “Cos you know you’re right, I need to get out, even if it is for one night. If I go home, I’ll only wallow. But I’m going home alone; I can’t deal with pulling at the moment.”

“Fine, I’ll protect you from the pretty people.”

“I mean alone, Lucca, that includes you!”

“Had I invited myself home with you?”

“No, but…”

“Then don’t think to presume Ianto Jones. You called me, remember?” Lucca’s voice was tight.

“I know, I’m sorry. That didn’t come out right. Gods, I’m an arse.” Ianto took a deep breath and stepped back from Lucca. “I want to go out, and I want to do drinking and dancing and fooling around with you. But I need to be in a better place for anything else to happen. Earlier today showed me that.” The last was muttered. Lucca’s hearing picked it up anyway and he re-crossed his arms.

“You didn’t enjoy it?”

“I didn’t say that. Crap, this is shite. Look can you just take over this evening? I wanna go out, but I really don’t care where and I’m making a total cock-up of this. It obviously shows that I’m incapable of making adult decisions, so I’ll give you the ability to decide for me.”

Lucca was silent for a few minutes following the outburst, looking at Ianto, eyebrows raised. Eventually he spoke.

“You sure?”

“Yep, although I reserve the right to change my mind about going home alone at any point.”

“I won’t take advantage.”

Ianto fixed him with a Look and Lucca grinned.

“Right, if that’s the way you want to play it. Shower. Now!”

“Yes, sir,” Ianto said, grinning, and scampered off towards the shower.

“As I’m in charge, I guess this means I get to pick your clothes?”

Ianto’s head reappeared from the bathroom.

“Definitely not! I recall some of your previous choices.”

“Hey!” Lucca looked affronted. “There were no clashing colours, no patterns, no horrific fabric choices, you looked good!”

“If I remained standing,” Ianto remarked dryly. “Sitting down in those jeans would have been very bad for my health. Not to mention the risk of splitting them and flashing some innocent passer by!”

“Not my fault if you have one of the finest arses in Wales,” Lucca pouted. “You should show it off more. And besides, you put me in charge tonight, which means what I say goes.”

Ianto opened his mouth to argue, but stopped as Lucca started stalking over to him, a feral grin on his face.

“And I think it’s about time that you stopped hiding Ianto Jones. Now are you going to trust me and go shower like a good boy, or do I have to come in and supervise?”

Lucca was towering over Ianto now, using the extra height to his advantage. Instinctively Ianto shrank away until his back hit the wall of the bathroom. Lucca leaned into him, both hands planted on the tile wall by Ianto’s head, his mouth inches away from Ianto’s.

“So what’s it going to be, boy?” he breathed, before ducking his head and slowly running his tongue up the length of Ianto’s neck.

Ianto moaned softly and arched his back away from the tile as Lucca ran his right hand down over Ianto’s side. Lightly scratching blunt nails over his ribs, Lucca enticed a shiver from Ianto, before ghosting his hands over Ianto’s hip, trailing along the waistband of Ianto’s jeans, until he reached the top button, which Lucca opened one-handed.

Ianto groaned and leaned into the touch until a hand on his chest slammed him back against the wall, forcing the air from his body.

“Shower, NOW!”

Ianto opened his eyes to find Lucca looking down on him. Then suddenly he was released and half slumped down the wall as Lucca spun on his heel and stalked off.

“You have 20 minutes. When I come back, you will be dressed and ready.” And Lucca exited the bathroom, only his enhanced hearing picked up the whispered “Yes, sir,” from Ianto.

Lucca closed the bathroom door and leaned against it. This wasn’t going to work if he didn’t keep a good degree of control on himself. It was totally his fault, he hadn’t played with Ianto for ages and often their positions were reversed. He took a deep breath and started the stopwatch on his wrist strap. Pushing himself off the door, he crossed the room and started to lay out clothes for Ianto. Black jeans, black tee, black socks; he hummed to himself as he draped them over the bed. There were a couple more things he needed and then he was all set. Quietly he exited the room, the sound of the shower masking his departure.

As he padded back to his own room to finish getting ready, his mind flashed back to the first time he’d dragged Ianto out with him. Poor boy, he really didn’t know what had hit him. Lucca smiled as he remembered.

It had been about three weeks later that he had found himself walking back following another one-night-stand. He felt the familiar prickle of someone watching him and slowly turned round to see the lanky figure of Jones, Ianto Jones leaning against the wall. He grinned at the young man, smile widening as he saw the blush appear over the pale skin, waved and strode over to him. Ianto was dressed more or less the same as the last time he’d seen him; faded jeans, baggy t-shirt, hair desperately trying to escape into curls, smiling to hide his nervousness and sitting on the wall.

Lucca flopped down on the grass next to the kid and looked up at him.

“Hi there, fancy meeting you here.”

Ianto looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

“What?” Lucca tapped his sunglasses down his nose and looked at Ianto over the top. “Too cheesy?”

“Just a bit,” Ianto grinned, holding up his thumb and forefinger.

“Could have been worse, could have been ‘come here often?’”

Lucca grinned as Ianto groaned and rolled his eyes. He pushed his sunglasses back up his nose and let his head fall against Ianto’s knee. They stayed in companionable silence for a while relaxing in the sunshine. Lucca smiling inwardly as he realised that Ianto hadn’t flinched or moved his leg when he lent on him.

He’d been thinking about the kid for the past three weeks and it had become distracting. Even getting his arse chewed by his cousin for smoking hadn’t been enough to put him off doing it again. There had been something about him, something terribly intriguing, that had him wanting to return to the park repeatedly. Thank gods there were a lot of students taking advantage of the cheaper rents; he could bed hop with impunity. His cousin thought he was mad, but he knew that once she met him, she’d understand. Of course that would mean taking him home. Lucca grinned wolfishly, the beginnings of a plan forming.

He was bored of students, bored of the standard fare that trotted out every weekend. He wanted something new and what he currently wanted was sat on the wall next to him, completely unaware that he had had a starring role in quite a few of Lucca’s fantasies for the past three weeks. It had been the blush and the stammer that had done it for him. Lucca had a real weakness for innocence, especially in boys that really weren’t. The calm way that Ianto had given his name, the firm handshake and the appraising glance that had been totally unconscious, convinced Lucca that there was a lot more to Ianto than he was letting on. He wanted to play with that untapped potential. And speaking of play, he pulled himself to his feet and turned to face the young man.

“Got any plans today, Jones, Ianto Jones?”

Ianto blushed and shook his head. “Nope, why?”

“Wanna come and have fun?” Lucca watched as Ianto wavered.

“I really shouldn’t.” The hesitation in his voice made it clear that the boy was torn.

Lucca decided to see how far he could push this. He leaned into Ianto’s personal space.

“Got a better offer?” Lucca asked,  dialing up his pheromones a little, smirking slightly as Ianto’s eyes glazed.

“I’m in enough trouble as it is.” Ianto was still wavering,

“Come on, how bad could it be?” Lucca purred at him, allowing himself a small smile when Ianto closed his eyes and swallowed.

“My-my parents would never allow it. I-I mean I hardly know you and...”

Ianto opened his eyes and a flicker of something within them made Lucca rethink his plan of attack. How old was this kid anyway? He pulled back, allowing Ianto to breathe fresh air.

“Ice-cream,” Lucca said decisively

“Wh-what?” Ianto looked up, confused by the change of subject, of position, of tone, of everything.

“C’mon, I’ll take you to Mermaid Quay. There’s a fantastic ice-cream place there, Cadwaladers? Is your mum going to disapprove of ice-cream?”

Ianto stared at him for a few seconds. Lucca smiled reassuringly at him.

“Look if it makes you feel better, I’ll call her and ask.”

Ianto nodded dumbly and Lucca felt the first flush of triumph. From here on in, it was going to be easy. He debated how far he should go, then he looked back at Ianto.

“That-that would be great. Thanks,” Ianto stammered again.

Lucca saw a flash of something in Ianto’s eyes, hope or possibly relief; either confirmed for him that he was doing the right thing. Something was going on here. The kid was cute, well-spoken and had that something extra, and people should be falling over themselves to hang out with him; why was he here alone? Something was definitely off, and although Lucca wasn’t in the habit of picking up strays, unlike his cousin, the air of quiet defeat that hung over this young man made him want to protect him. He slid the phone out of his pocket, noting that Ianto’s eyes had widened slightly.

“Number?”

Ianto reeled off the number, watching intently as Lucca punched it into the small round pebble of a phone.

“I’ve never seen one like that before,” Ianto breathed.

“It’s the new model,” Lucca said hurriedly and then punched something into what looked like a large watch on his wrist. When he next spoke, his voice had raised a couple of octaves. “Hello? Mrs Jones? Hi, my name’s Luke Mitchell, and I was wondering if you would mind if Ianto came with me to Mermaid Quay?” There was a pause. “No, I’m on holiday here with my parents.” Another pause. “Of course, I’d be delighted to meet you.”

Ianto listened to the call with a growing sense of trepidation. Of course his mother was going to want to meet him, she was vetting everyone now to check that there were no ‘unsavoury elements’ leading her boy astray. And once she saw Lucca, she’d have a complete fit and that would be the end of that. Plus did he want Lucca to see where he lived? He swallowed heavily as Lucca put the phone away.

“What’s wrong? Your mum wants to meet me by the way, it’s been ages since I met the parents.” Lucca grinned as he realised that this was the first time he was meeting the parents before debauching the beloved child. And there had been something in the mother’s voice, something guarded and suspicious that made him all the more intrigued. “So, lead on, Macduff!”

“WHAT?” Ianto had gone pale, his eyes like saucers.

“Well, I say meeting the parents, it’s more like waving as you’re dragged out of the house or upstairs,” Lucca leered. “Or at least that’s been my experience.”

“My parents want to meet you?” Ianto had completely missed the leer. “Great, I’m screwed! I’ll never be allowed out again, my parents are going to freak!”

“Why?”

“Look at you!” Ianto gestured at Lucca who looked himself up and down.

Black jeans, huge boots, tight black tee, black leather biker jacket, black nail polish, silver rings, spiky black hair and the remains of last night’s eyeliner.

“What?”

Ianto raised his eyebrows. “You hardly look like a fine upstanding citizen, or more importantly a good influence.”

“Huh?” The confusion was plain on Lucca’s face

“The second my mam sees you, she’s going to freak, and she’ll know that I’ve been lying to her and that’ll just make everything worse.”

“Oh!” The light began to dawn on Lucca. “Ianto, I’ve never been accused of being a good influence, but I’m very good with parents. Why are you so worried? What’s going on?” Lucca looked down at the young man who was nervously biting his lip. He reached down to his chin and raised his head so that their eyes met and dialled up his pheromones slightly, just enough to be comforting, knowing they had taken effect as Ianto’s pupils widened slightly. “C’mon, tell Lucca all about it.”

Unsurprisingly Ianto did. All about the shoplifting, and the police record, about his parents disapproval and his sister’s unbearable smugness; about how he was never good enough and finally about how he’d never fitted in and constantly felt like a square peg in a round hole. Lucca just listened, not judging and not commenting, just letting the boy speak his piece. Secretly he was pleased that he hadn’t lost this particular skill, it had been a long time since he’d used it, and he was quietly pleased that it still worked fairly well. Admittedly it was a little rusty, there were certain things the kid wasn’t telling him, but he reminded himself that everything came out in the end, and at least he now had an inkling as to why this pretty boy was sat on his own in the summer holidays.

Ianto finally reached the end of his explanation with the words, “And that’s why my parents can never meet you!” And Lucca started grinning. “What?” Ianto asked crossly. “I’ve explained everything now, you know there’s no hope.”

“Aaaaah, and that’s where you’re wrong” Lucca’s eyes twinkled. “Can you keep a secret Ianto Jones?”

Ianto just looked at him and Lucca did a quick check for passers by. As usual there was no one, he turned back.

“Remember I told you that I wasn’t from round here?” Ianto nodded. “Well how’s about I show you how not from round here I am?”

Lucca stepped back and began to fiddle with his wrist-strap. Ianto stared as a light purple glow surrounded Lucca and he began to change. He shrank about a foot in height, his hair got longer and flopped attractively over one eye and his clothes changed to smart blue jeans, trainers, and a baggy t-shirt. As the glow dissipated, where Lucca had been, stood a boy of about the same age as Ianto.

“Wha…” Ianto gasped.

“Perception filter. Pretty cool huh!” The voice was still undeniably Lucca, although slightly higher, and the eyes still glittered in the same mercurial manner. “So, will I pass?” He did a small pirouette.

“Uh-huh,” nodded Ianto, still stunned by the transformation. “That’s amazing.”

“Oh this, this is nothing. You should see me as a woman!” Lucca winked. “Now which way to your parents?” And grabbing Ianto by the hand, he dragged him with surprising strength out of the park.
